Is anyone attending a "Tea Party" protest next week?
Q. If so, are these intended to be "peaceful" protests? Are these people genuinely questioning the amount of the stimulus and impending budgets or is this something nefarious . . . along the lines of quackery exhibited at the G20 conference? Thanks.

A. First to answer your questions. No, I'm not going. I work until 11pm so I miss a lot of things. Second, these are peaceful demonstrations. I find it odd that those who are liberal want to see a violent protest, especially since the 1960s civil rights protests and the environmental sit ins and kumbiyah (sp?) hippie movements were liberal events. Also, grass-root movements seem to be praised when they are liberal ideal being fronted, but are "wimpy" or not real (see Iraq) when they are confirming a Conservative position. The goal of the tea party is to have a revolution stemming from peace, ala the civil rights fight, rather than another American Revolution or worse a French revolution.

Anyone going to a tea party this weekend?
Q. (For those of you who don't get it, several protests are planned for this weekend in just about every U.S. State in which the conservative, Republicans, and anyone else who wishes to protest our "stimulus bill" are going to take pieces of that bill and drown it in a vat of tea.") a reference to the Boston tea party-anyway will anyone else be attending? I think it's time to stand for what we believe in instead of just agreeing to give the government our hard earned money. Anyone else wanna join me? Ours is in Dallas BTW. (Repeal or Resign) Duh...helps if I give the info doesn't it? Look up the heritage foundation for more info...type in key words tea party I think its a great idea! Today at Victory Plaza in Dallas they are having one ( I… [cont.]

Will the Great Orlando Tea Party be a success?
Q. It's March 21st at the Lake Eola Band shell, it's supposed to be quite the protest...word is down here that people are coming from all over Florida and even out of staters too...if you'd like to join us come on down...we will be protesting the rampant budget busting under obama and the dems and the anti-stimulus policies that he is championing.

A. If the Omnibus budget gets passed you can bet there will be a huge turnout. Part of the reason Obama became president is because he promised to end wasteful spending, to change Washington DC. He is off to a really bad start in that agenda. I see some people think this is all based on helping those who are in foreclosure. That isn't the case. McCain was going to buy all those mortgages and allow people to have low interest government loans to pay for their homes. This protest has to do with all the wasteful spending and anti business policies.
