What is the Republican solution to the health care problem?
Q. Obviously, the "free market" solution is not working. A "free market" allows the insurance companies to cherry-pick, leaving those who need insurance out in the cold. What is the Republican's plan to make sure everyone has access to health care coverage at a reasonable price? Tax credits as a solution again do no good if the insurance companies deny you insurance, or deny your claims! I always laugh at those that say "everyone should pay for their own" as a response. If the insurance companies won't insure you, how are you going to do that?

A. I'm not sure, but to the people who say 'pay for you own' I have news for you. My mother works @ Hopkins. There are children with cancer that come to her unit (because it is the best in the world for treatment) whose parents have excellent jobs. Some of these people have had to put up their houses to be able to keep up with the medical bills of their sick child. These are not gov't leeches, they are hard working teachers, nurses, even doctors, that have literally had to shell out everything they own to make sure their children don't die. It's sad really. There is more than one side to a coin. I wish people would stop thinking of this as a handout and start seeing a broader perspective about this issue. EDIT: hospitals don't turn anyone… [cont.]

How many Republican delegates are still up for grabs? Can McCain actually get enough to reach 1,191?
Q. I know McCain is far ahead in the delegate count, but are there still enough delegates up for grabs for him to reach the required 1,191 (or is it 1,091?) before the Republican convention?

Why would the Republican Party block people from voting when their homes are foreclosed?
Q. The Michigan Messenger reported this week that the chairman of the Republican Party in Macomb County is planning to use a list of foreclosed homes to block people from voting in the upcoming election as part of a Republican effort to challenge some voters on Election Day. Should the Party be disbanded for cheating voters who are suffering because of Republican lead deregulation of the financial industries?
