Do you think the only way for NATO to win in Afghanistan is to enter in negotiations with the Taliban?
Q. The Taliban forces are getting stronger and stronger; the NATO forces have killed many innocent civilians; Talibans enjoy the support of many Afghans that are tired of being occupied by foreign invaders; the Soviets were defeated, so can NATO; the world is tired of war; military superiority is no longer decisive in winning wars. etc. Thanks for your answer.

A. Yes, that is the only way left after all this nonsensical destruction resulting from fight for ego between USA, Soviets and fundamentalist Talibans. I will give you one historical fact. We Indians have thrown British out of India in the year 1947, which ruled India for 200 years, with non- violent methods adopted by Mahatma Gandhi. Lot of violent methods, adopted by many of us to get rid of British had no results. We succeeded only with non- violence non- cooperation movement. Finally British had no option but to sit across the table and then leave India. But does Afghans have a leader of the caliber of Mahatam Gandhi who has the patience with forgiveness for the atrocities done so far? To end with a positive note, I think they have.
